I have very high hopes that possibly the end of our home study is near! We were returned both one set of my fingerprints as well as Scott's for under payment. Interesting we paid the same for both sets, yet one we were "short" $19 and the other $1.25!! Big errors going on over there, but I paid the extra we were said to owe just to move it along (after speaking to a person on the phone that was less than helpful). Mine are back, so waiting on Scott's to move through and be DONE! That will be the final step, and then the report can be mailed to us, authenticated in Richmond, and sent on to our agency in Indiana.
I600 is next, which is a small bit of paperwork, $, and copy of homestudy which tells the government our plans and asks approval... Prayers that this can be in the mail in a few weeks! It is all assembled, just waiting on the homestudy (as usual...).
While we are waiting I have been doing some of the "homework". This week I took an online class and took the test, as well as took another test on some papers I read. I have started our big assignment, which is all about Congo. I definitely understand the need for this assignment, as it does help us learn an awful lot about the country from which our children will be coming from. Will be interested to see how long it ends up. I know I haven't done a paper like this since high school (but I rocked those, so am not overly concerned about this one! ) If they want to see more content in the paper they don't just put a red mark through it, they just tell you what they want more info on and you do it to their satisfaction- or else you don't get the kids! We have a LONG time to get this done, but being a "doer" I want this box checked off so will continue to work on it in all my "free time"; And yes, handing some of this to Scott as it is for both parents to do these classes/projects.) I also enrolled us in 3 Skype classes to be taken in October/November. We are required 10-20 hours of training, and I am sure the Congo paper alone will be 10 hours at least.. The last required class is about caring for African hair:) Makes sense, as this is not something I am used to!
So prayers for positivity, patience, and perseverance!
