9 months for baby B

At 9 months he now is officially a helmet wearer! He is doing well with it, although I HATE it as it nearly covers his eyes and stinks! But it must be done to fix the shape of his head. He weighs in at 25 lb 5 oz, and although he is still 95/100% height and weight, he doesn't seem a like a huge chubster so much as a big active baby. He now furniture walks all over, is just popping through his two top teeth, and eating more foods like peanut butter on a spoon, pizza, noodles, cheese, etc, although he still loves his purees which he inhales. He says a lot of "dada" and "a la" and lots of babble.

On the family front, he now has unsupervised visits with Grandparents, and we really like them. He gets 5-6 hours a week with them, and 5 hours with his parents (supervised). Everything is smooth and he is happy and shows no signs of separation anxiety. He loves attention, and doesn't overly care who is giving it to him!

BUT, I am his favorite, and he follows me everywhere I go! If he sees me, he wants me. But if he doesn't see me, then he is happy with whomever he is with. He was evaluated by Infant/Toddler and he passed with flying colors, ranging in the 8-10 month mark on all his skills (he was 8 months when tested). One thing they look for is "checking in", which is where a baby is physically away from caregiver/parent/familiar person and checks in by looking for that person to make sure everything is okay- and he did that a lot! He would play with one of the ladies assessing him, but then turn to look at me to make sure I was still there. And when he pulled up to stand and fell down and cried, they liked to see that I calmed him in 5 seconds flat. He chatted and played and exceeded his goals which I had no doubt about, but super relieved to NOT add more appointments to our busy lives! He needs a visit to the craniologist every 2 weeks which is not convenient either, but they are pretty swift in getting in and out and easy to schedule with, but it's just a drive that I will be happy to not make once this helmet thing is over with!
