Home Study One

Friday we received confirmation from the home study agency that we were accepted, and with that came a mountain of paperwork. Saturday I set out to get started on that pile, and we plowed our way through a lot of it. Saturday I also received an email asking if we could come to the first home study meeting on Wednesday! Whoa! That was fast! We finished the majority of the paperwork that we can do ourselves, got a sitter, and took all that we had with us to the meeting. She was impressed:)
The orientation was good and thorough and informative. We can get our next two home visits set up as soon as we get physicals and fingerprints, which are scheduled for next week. I like to not wait around for nothing!
The only "issue" is not being certain of where/how many we are adopting! My body is not giving me answers yet, so we are not able to formally switch programs yet... but we can still move along with some of these things. I hope to have a firm answer by Monday and then finish doing whatever needs to be done to be officially in the Congo program, as we are mentally set for the circumstances of adopting 2 from Congo now. But God is still in control and knows what we are doing since obviously we don't!
