People ask me almost every day "So how is the adoption stuff coming along?" My answer is generally "It's coming, slowly" or "it's not", depending on my mood! We have been waiting for about 6 weeks for Maryland to send back the clearance to the home study agency. We can do nothing until the home study gets signed off on and authenticated and is in our agency's hands. I heard that it was in the pile to be checked last week, so my prayer is that the home study is in our hands next week to be sent to Richmond to get a special stamp and signature, and then sent off to Indiana... There you have it. Not very exciting, but the latest update!
Our current goal now is just to raise money, and we are preparing for a yard sale in 2 weeks to raise funds. We have been very encouraged by the people who we don't even know who have contributed items to sell, and the verbal response by those we do know has also been very positive. We are excited to see what God can do! He is a big God, and He can do mighty wonders. Our message at church yesterday said just that- He is an almighty God, we just must choose to believe that and let Him do His thing in His time if it be His will. He obviously has all the control in the situation, so we just pray and do what we can to be diligent stewards of our time and resources, and let God do the rest.
