Last night we had another fundraiser- PNO! I have done this multiple times in the past for my school, so I was familiar with the fun:)
A wonderful couple from church volunteered their time for the evening which was such a blessing,and we enlisted help from 2 neighborhood girls as well. We ended up having 21 children in all, ranging from 7 months-8 years. We divided up the 4 and over crowd upstairs (10 kids), and the under 4 crowd downstairs (11 kids), and time passed very quickly and smoothly! I think everyone had a great time, and it was a big success. Thank you Jacqui and David!
I wanted to get a picture of the gang all together, but not surprisingly that failed to happen. Maybe next time...
This event will happen again, and if you wish to be part of it by entrusting your children to us for a few hours, or volunteering your time with us, we would love for you to be a part!
We are thankful to have a home where an evening like this is possible. We are thankful that our children are always so excited to share their parents and their toys with others (even Everett was an angel!). We are thankful that so many parents trust us to care for and love their children. We are thankful for those adults/teens who spent their time helping us take care of all the kids. We are thankful for all of you who read our blog and pray for us!
Our next fundraiser is a Jewelry Party on November 5 here at our home. 25% of the profit will go towards our adoption fund. PLUS- I can get up to 3 people to host a show in January then I will get 20% of the profit from their shows as well! If anyone is willing to host a show (it really is a lot of fun and little you have to do!) PLEASE let me know. You will earn lots of free jewelry in the process of helping us. Everyone wins:)
