A new appointment

Got our USCIC appointment today- feels like the adoption is moving forward (slowly), but it is better than backwards:) Now let's pray that the fingerprinting goes smoothly and takes on December 5...

Our Adoption Timeline

April 15- Accepted into Adoption program
May 13- Accepted into Home Study program (out of state agency means we need a Virginia home study)
May 18- We attended Home Study orientation and handed in a big chunk of paperwork
May 24- fingerprints were taken
May 25- physicals were conducted, as were Chest X Rays
May 26- children had TB tests administered
June 7- Family Home Study #2
June 10- Individual Home Study #3
June 23- signed off on HS
October 31- Finally received completed HS!
November 2- sent in I600A
December 5- USCIS biometrics taken
January 17- USCIS approval
January 18- received first referral!
January 21 -received second referral
January 22- accepted both referrals
January 30- Dossier is complete
May 6- DRC Court paperwork complete
May 12- received translated copies of DRC court paperwork
May 14- sent in I600
June 11- I600 approved
August 16- Dossier drop off
August 20- Embassy interview
September 11- Visas complete
October 3- HOME FOREVER!
