Placements

Last night I attended a training class, in which the trainer mentioned having 27 children come into care this month alone. That is a lot of children! I mentioned that we had not had a placement yet, and she said it is always good to check in with them, but they may be calling soon.

Today I was pro-active and called about noon, got voice mail, and left a brief message just reminding her we were here. At 12:02 I got a call from a different person (don't know if this was random or if my call sparked them?!) She said they have a potential match for us, of a 5 week old baby boy! He would be coming Tuesday, if it all works out. We are ready to go here, and having those few days to prepare would be great, so just waiting now to hear back if it is a go! So nervous, so excited...

The class last night was very good, and I connected with a lady in the class who has had a very positive experience overall with the birth family, CPS workers, and the child (ren) in her care, who is moving on to adopt the little one they have had with them for 18 months. God works in such mysterious ways, but His ways are GOOD. Much better than my crazy mind can comprehend.
