I know I said she was leaving soon, but "soon" is relative in the land of foster care and our fabulous little one is still here! BUT the countdown is on for real, and she is leaving on Saturday morning. Each day this week we mark as "our last Monday together"... It is bittersweet. Her family adores her and I know she will be well loved and cared for, but we will miss her dearly. For all her toddler ways of getting into everything and fit throwing and food throwing, she brings us so much more joy and laughter and sweet hugs and kisses! It is hard to be having a bad day with her precious smile around, and the whole family will mourn her loss. It will be 14 months to the day of her being a member of our family, and I am thankful for each and every day she spent with us!
Her bags are mostly packed, her picture album complete, but memories will last forever and we hope to stay in touch!
