It seems that everywhere I turn I am hearing of adoption. Just more and more signs from the Almighty that this is the direction He is taking our family!
Last night we had dinner with our neighbor and her family, and it was very informative to hear about their process of fostering/to adopt (hopefully). It also made both Scott and I realize that that is not the best avenue for our family at this point, as there is just too much involved that would set our family off-balance. Maybe at some other point in time, when our children are older and are more able to understand what is going on with the foster children's lives, and the role we as foster parents must play, but at this current time it is not the right time.
But the adoption chapter is opening up to other ideas- ideas that I have briefly explored and have found are a real possibility! Our "adoption dinner" is Friday night, where we will meet with others interested in the process, as well as hear from those who have successes on the adoption front. At this point we are just trying to absorb information before moving forward, but every ounce of information puts fuel to my fire (and description for my dreams...)
This evening I found out a lady from our church is in the process of international adoption, and one of the other ladies at the get together used to work for an adoption agency as well as being adopted herself! So I had lots to listen to, and things to file away for later. I am bound to have dreams of colorful children yet again tonight.
