We heard back, and looks like God does indeed not want us to go to Congo at this time. Torn if I should be excited/relieved, or if I should want to go. Either way, as it now stands we are where we were when we started- told that using an escort is the way it is going to be! Thankfully we are not exactly where we were when we started, as the kids Embassy appointment is MONDAY at which time the visas will be applied for. Then pray, pray, pray they have quick turn around and they come HOME!!
With all these last minute things, we are in last minute fund raising frenzy. Today I sent out a reminder to our friends/family, and we reached our next goal ($2000) in a few hours! We also set up a quick lemonade stand out front, and a kind neighbor who I had spoken to at length month ago, gave a very kind donation for a cup of lemonade!
It is very humbling to see love being shared with us, and we hope to be able to pay the love forward to others in the future! God is good, and we are thrilled with where He has taken us this far and what He has in store for us!
