Baby Huggy had a wonderful stay with us, and Bennett found a new best friend! He said on day 3 or 4 "I'm gonna snuggle that baby like he's never been snuggled before!" and he crawled into his crib and lay with him until he fell asleep. He repeated the laying together every night after, and was by that baby's side if he could be! I caught this cuteness yesterday afternoon. That is Bennett, reading to Zuri and Huggy. What a great big bro!
The only negative thing about this respite was that the poor baby got sick on Sunday. I didn't realize it in the morning, but he had a fever, and by afternoon he was miserable and just moaned and whined while I carried him around in the Ergo as he didn't want to be put down. He went to bed at normal time, slept through the night, and woke up fever free and back to normal! Yeah!! I had called his foster mom to let her know, so she stayed in the loop, and nothing to run home for, I just know how much she loves that baby and wanted her to be in the loop!
Which is why having him leave today was not too sad. He is most likely being adopted by his current foster family, the ones who have loved on him since birth. He's got a mama and a dada and everything a boy can ask for, so it was just our honor and pleasure to give him some love for a week!
