Last night our third respite arrived. Two sweety sisters 9 months and almost two. They came with their social worker straight from a visit from bio mom, and foster mom met us at the house and helped put them to bed and say goodbye. They were great! Went to bed nicely, slept well, and woke up happy this morning. This respite has been different as little girl is verbal, so woke up and asked for Mommy, and she took my answer well and moved on, and kept me entertained with her cute talk. Bennett is captivated by both little ladies, Zuri is happy being a helper, and pretty much everyone is happy! Everett is not around this week, and it is good timing, as he is spending some time with Grandparents in Delaware which works really well since I really only have seating for 6 kids in the car!
While I will not say yes to two kids for long term, I am happy to watch these angel babies for the next week. I am amazed how sweet the little girl is, after being in many places with many people. She is quite smart and charming and animated. Kids rock.
