We settled on a date for the two girls at the end of July,and I told the coordinator that if anything came up before then, we were in town. She happened to have someone who needed care for a 9 month old, and he is here:)
The family came to meet us last Friday, as they are first time parents (on the road to adopt said baby) and wanted to feel us out. They were not told we had 5 kids, and the three that were home were being a bit crazy in a playful way (jumping off furniture, doing flips and headstands, acting like children), but they seemed entertained and not terrified, and they came and dropped him off last night pretty quickly. So far he is an angel, and oh so cute and drooly! If you watch Grey's Anatomy and know Dr Avery, imagine him as a 9 month old and that is JUST what baby "Huggy" looks like! He was laughing and giggling when I put him on my back in the Ergo, and he made us all crack up. Such a sweet kid!
He will remain with us until Tuesday afternoon, so we have many more days to enjoy him.
