We said goodbye, we said HELLO HELLO

We have seen the boys many times since their departure, for four very nice respites. Each time they see us B runs to us with open arms and big kisses, and baby I's face lights up with gummy smiles (still no teeth as of last week when they were here for four days- but he has added a helmet as seems soft skulls run in the blood and that poor baby had a super flat head no fault of mine or grandparents!)

The first time we agreed to watch them for a weekend corresponded with baby G (-who I will now refer to as GABRIELLA aka Gabby as she was adopted by her family in February and can be talked about freely now!) Gabby was coming to stay with us for a week while her family went on a vacation they would all enjoy more separately, and we all had SO MUCH FUN together. The weekend was wet and nasty and perfect for not dragging kids out into, and I was pleasantly surprised at Gabby's acceptance of baby I and B. Once they left she and Zuri were besties which was also surprising and it was just a great week together.

The boys have been back a few times and we love to see them growing, hearing B get new words, and watching I sleep longer stretches at night;) It was a nice summer of no placements, but some baby snuggles and toddler glee!
