I heard a quote at church regarding orphans "DO for one what you wish you could do for all". This is fabulous! If people care about orphans, and can't give one a home, most people can contribute to help others bring one home in one way or another. Maybe not even monetarily, but helping someone organize a fundraiser, join in an event to help, PRAY, oh there are so many ways! I wish we could help them all, but know that we can help ONE! And we hope that others will help us make it possible:)
The other quote I heard was from a video from adoptive parents, and I can't remember what it was word for word, but in essence what he said was the things we were blessed with (house, finances, love, family) are not ours to have, but ours to give. Love it!! I try to think about this when inviting others to our home, and try to stress less about messes, etc. We were blessed with rooms to house children and host events, so we should! No sense just sitting inside the house by ourselves all the time... Our hearts have more than enough love to give to our children- our love will not run out no matter how many children we have. We are very blessed!
